Acupuncture is based on the three thousand year old tradition of Chinese medicine. It makes use of fine needles that manipulate the body's tissues and energy in order to bring about greater harmony and health to the body, mind, and spirit. Strong needling sensation can, at times, be indicated in the treatment of certain conditions in order to achieve quicker, longer lasting results. Bruising may occur after an acupuncture treatment and will naturally resolve itself within a few days to a week in the average patient.
